In a corner somewhere starving

Have been trying to write a post for days. A half-finished piece is laying in a corner somewhere starving.

Radio program went well this morning, I’m still dotting the I’s and crossing the T’s. Or is it the other way around? Either way, no one can be unsure of what we are saying, based solely on the Word.

Jim Massey’s book on church organization may be a good fit for Brazil just now. Changes are coming, and as per history are happening first, it seems, in organization.

Temps rose today, got hot in the office. I felt ill after a nap, cancelled giving the study at Cris’s house. They'll carry on fine without me.

Acts 11.35 is a killer for those who deny that doing something is related to salvation. “[B]ut in every nation, he who fears him and is working righteousness, is acceptable to him” (Modern Literal Version; also KJV, ASV, NKJV, BLB). Working righteousness?! The Greek verb is exactly the corresponding term to the noun, “works”. If you want to be accepted to God, you must work righteousness. No wonder most later versions softened the phrase.
