A name’s no number, but a person:
A number measures ─ a software version.
God knows my name, he knows my mind.
He knows the beliefs that keep me confined.
The Sovereign knows when I’m distraught,
The hairs on my head, my private thought,
My greatest needs, my deepest doubts,
At every hour my whereabouts.
Well does God know just how to save me
By Jesus’ sacrifice he gave me.
