¶1. Everybody uses it: “I’m passionate about …” It’s become a cliché. Please, just avoid it.
¶2. Missus and I went out for breakfast yesterday. A treat for Dia dos Namorados (Brazil’s Valentine’s Day.) Oh, day before that, I brought her a piece of cake home from her favorite store. Gotta take care of each other.
¶3. Started rereading an old book, R.S. Taylor's The Disciplined Life, but it’s playing havoc with eye allergies. I have two copies of it (one was a gift) and I’m using the most recent. So the early copy would probably be even worse.
¶4. In the end, the work of God has to do with people, with souls, with eternity, and the glorious presence of the Lord. What won’t fit into Heaven is insignificant and inconsequential. Spend your time for and with people.
¶5. My 240-page planner will run out before the month, so I’m scrunching up to end right on June 30. Two more await my beck and call, but with fewer pages. I’ve gone back and forth between digital and paper, do better with the latter.
¶6. An original verse: Let peace command my heart with quiet rest; / My Sovereign knows my deepest yearnings best.
