Randal, plain and simple

Work, family, and dreams

¶ 1. Four hours (nearly) seemed like a lot less yesterday as a friend and I met between our cities to talk work, family, and dreams.

¶ 2. Reading 10 chapters of the Bible a day, following Prof. Horner’s plan, is a challenge. Worth the effort, however.

¶ 3. Some people use Paul’s letter to the Romans, almost exclusively, to teach the gospel. Seems like 1 Peter would also make a good study of it.

¶ 4. A quote: “The patient must combat the disease along with the physician.” ─Hippocrates. I can't verify this quote. But it's more true today than ever, it seems.

¶ 5. Got a story up on cristaos.org that I’d been sitting on for about three days. Required some revision and cropping of photos. Glad to share about new congregation down south.

¶ 6. An original verse: Why did God make days of varying length, / And create men of vastly different strength?

¶ 7. A random Bible verse: “Before destruction the heart of a person is proud, but humility comes before honor.” Proverbs 18.12 NET.
